The Overlander
The Overlander is a journey through the heart of the North Island, travelling between Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, and Wellington, the harbour capital. You see fantastic views of New Zealand farmland, the volcanic plateau, Mount Ruapehu and the world-famous Raurimu Spiral. An observation carriage includes lounge-style seating, arranged at the very rear of this glass-backed carriage to give you a totally unique Overlander experience.

The TranzCoastal
The TranzCoastal travels daily from the port town of Picton to Christchurch the Garden City and gateway to South Island adventure. This journey is a scenic feast with the rugged Pacific Ocean on one side of the train and the Kaikoura ranges on the other. Described as one of the world’s most scenic train journeys, the TranzCoastal travels through 22 tunnels and crosses 175 bridges. It also connects with the Interislander ferries between Wellington and Picton.

The TranzAlpine
