Where the journey becomes a destination. Interislander travels between the North and South Islands of New Zealand and is one of the most spectacular cruises in the world. The 92 km journey between Wellington and Picton is one of New Zealand’s most iconic tourism activities. Interislander operates three ships for passengers and their vehicles: Kaitaki, Arahura and Aratere. Up to 13 sailings a day offer a wide choice of travel times. Taking a vehicle with Interislander is easy - just drive on and drive off. Passengers with vehicles do not have any luggage restrictions. Whilst on board, take a stroll on the decks, enjoy a meal, a drink or even catch the latest movie releases. Or, of course, you could just take in the breathtaking view.
