The Qualmark® is New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality and is a government-backed initiative. The Qualmark® identifies professional and trustworthy accommodation, activities and transport so you can book and buy with confidence.
The Qualmark® licensing system is made up of an endorsement system for visitor activities and transport and a star grading system for accommodation.
The Qualmark® star grading and classification system identifies quality accommodation that will meet consumers’ needs. The categories group together accommodation with similar characteristics while the star grades indicate the level of services and facilities available.
All tourism businesses, including activities, attractions and transport that carry the Qualmark® endorsement have met quality standards in safety, facilities, equipment, customer service and more.
