Are your clients looking for an adrenaline rush on their holiday? You’re sending them to the right place because New Zealand is renowned for its adventure activities!

Beautiful scenery, welcoming weather and a lifestyle that embraces the outdoors make New Zealand a thrill-seeker’s paradise – your clients will find no shortage of ways to enjoy the great outdoors!

The most famous of New Zealand’s adventure activities is bungy jumping. In 1988 the world’s first commercial bungy jump opened at the Kawarau Bridge near Queenstown, and visitors can now experience this activity all over the country. They can even jump off the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge – if they dare!

Zorbing is another unmissable adventure. Strapped into an enormous, plastic, air-cushioned transparent ball, participants are rolled down a slope – surprisingly comfortable and safe! Another option is the slingshot bungy, which fires thrill-seekers skyward at extreme speeds.

Your clients can view New Zealand from above by hang-gliding, paragliding or skydiving. Back on solid ground, visitors can sample mountain biking, snowboarding, four-wheel-driving or climbing. The coastline, lakes and rivers provide a further range of activities above and below the water. Jet boating is yet another Kiwi invention, and white-water rafting is a high-adrenaline river activity. On lakes and on the ocean visitors can take a coastal cruise, a high-speed boat tour, try tubing, kayaking, yachting, water-skiing, surfing or windsurfing, or dive below the water’s surface. The underwater scenery can be as stunning as that found on land, and New Zealand has some amazing marine wildlife. Or how about riding an inner-tube on an underground river (black-water rafting)? It’s a totally magical experience.

Most activities can be enjoyed by people at a range of skill levels, and New Zealand operators abide by the strictest of safety standards and quality control systems. Whatever kind of adventure your clients are looking for, they’ll find it in New Zealand!
