Wellington Cable Car
Visit Wellington’s top spots. Enjoy views of city and harbour, Carter Observatory with its telescopes and sundials, Krupp gun, Skyline Restaurant, cable car museum and the botanical gardens. Hop off at Salamanca for small children’s playground. Easy downhill walks via historic Thorndon with its quaint houses, shops and cafés, then to the city via Ascot and Parliament Street. Walk down to the city via Boulton Street Cemetery, resting place of many important New Zealanders and early settlers. From the top, it is a comfortable walk through Kelburn to the Karori Wild Life Sanctuary.
