Yeti Tours

There are few places left in the world where there are no roads, phones or television, and very few other people. The Whanganui River is such a place. From the slopes of Mt Tongariro, the Whanganui River meanders to the Tasman Sea through a unique National Park. Journey with Yeti Tours and for a few days you can enjoy the tranquility of isolation from the outside world.
Travel down the Whanganui and you cannot help becoming part of the magic that surrounds this great river. Each night you’ll stop at a campsite or hut and as you lie in your sleeping bag after an evening of food and fellowship, you’ll hear the haunting call of the Morepork and perhaps the elusive Kiwi.
Yeti Tours has a 25 year history of canoe tours on the Whanganui. Our attention to detail, professionalism and client-focused adventure experience has resulted in Yeti Tours becoming a leading operator, guided by the philosophy of providing clients with a never-to-be-forgotten wilderness experience.
