Toast Martinborough
A key fixture in the New Zealand Wine and Food calendar. An annual event, held in November, sees the population of Martinborough swell tenfold as wine and food lovers from throughout the country and further afield come to celebrate the new releases.
Each vineyard features culinary delights from Wellington and Wairarapa’s finest restaurants, along with New Zealand’s best live entertainment. All vineyards are within a 10km radius, with free shuttle buses operating.
Martinborough wine is internationally acclaimed, particularly for Pinot Noir. The Air NZ Wine Awards trophy for Champion Pinot Noir has been awarded to Martinborough region regularly. At the International Wine Challenge and the International Wine and Spirit Competition, both held annually in London, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc from the Martinborough region have consistently emerged as top wines in their categories.
