Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses is unique luxury accommodation, 10 minutes north of Kaikoura. It is situated in one of the most spectacular settings in New Zealand, between the Kaikoura Seaward Mountain Range and the Pacific Coast on a deer farm and olive grove.
Hapuku Lodge and Tree Houses was conceived as a contemporary country inn. It features a selection of 5 star accommodation: spacious lodge rooms, luxury Tree Houses and a self catering apartment – all enjoy views of the stunning Kaikoura landscape. Hapuku Lodge was designed to give guests a great night’s sleep in one of the world’s most beautiful places.
The spacious lodge rooms feature views framed by double-glazed European tilt-swing windows, custom-crafted furnishings, ultra-comfortable beds, bathrooms with heated floors and rain fountain showerheads.
Opened in 2006, the Tree Houses are truly unique, elevated amongst the branches of Manuka trees, they are designed to complement their surrounding environment. Constructed with copper cladding and native timbers, and featuring interior design which seeks to welcome the nature inside, they are appointed with all the comfort touches of a lodge king room, large spa baths and ultra-efficient fireplaces. Two Tree Houses feature second-level bedrooms for families or two couples together.
The Olive House, our self-contained luxury apartment, is located above the olive mill, with 360 degree views, contemporary and spacious living room, full kitchen, fireplace, laundry and spa bath.
Dining at Hapuku Lodge is focused on fresh local produce, featuring seafood including Crayfish (rock lobster), venison and seasonal organic ingredients. For lodge and Tree House guests, a generous Continental breakfast is served each morning in the lodge.
