River Valley, a world-class Adventure Lodge that provides a unique experience combining natural beauty in terms of environment, high-quality adventure activities, and a level of comfort for all budgets. First operated in 1982, River Valley is a great place to unwind, a quality adventure destination, one of New Zealand's leading rafting operators, and is pioneering the Adventure Lodge concept in New Zealand.
For three generations we have brought a deep passion for what we do, combined with a strong commitment to our local environment and community. Situated in the Rangitikei District, known for its fertile farmland and scenic views, River Valley is surrounded by green clad hills, tree covered ranges and magnificent river canyons.
The lodge offers accommodation in stunning scenery, giving visitors a place to connect with nature and renew the spirit. A café and bar, as well as a self-catering kitchen, are available on-site.
As a specialist in a range of adventures, River Valley is the place to experience the excitement of some of the country's best rafting, including Grade 5 white water or gentle scenic rafting trips. Take a canter through the hills with one of the horse treks, hike through the bush clad ranges, play a game of golf or just relax by the river.
River Valley Spa, incorporating a Finnish wood stove sauna, infra-red sauna, riverside hot tub and massage, is the perfect place to unwind after a days adventuring. All activities are professionally operated, with skilled, knowledgeable staff and superior equipment.
