Banks Peninsula Track
Beginning in the historic, seaside village of Akaroa, the Banks Peninsula Track includes 35km of spectacular volcanic coastline, native bush, waterfalls, and sandy beaches. Renowned for its charming accommodation, the track is designed to provide a special experience for the intrepid explorer and holiday-maker alike. Two and four day options cover the same distance.
Limited numbers: 12 on four day option, 4 on two day option. The Banks Peninsula Track was established in 1989 and is New Zealand’s premier private walking track. Both the landowners and the company continue to undertake conservation initiatives. From Oct – Dec guided tours to the white-flippered penguin colony at Flea bay are available.
