Nestled on the banks of the beautiful Waikato River, New Zealand's only Prawn Park offers so much to do.
You can start with a personalized tour of the unique hatchery. Here you’ll not only see how New Zealand's freshest prawns come about, but if you're brave enough, you can also help feed the babies.
We also give a prawn peeling demonstration and the opportunity to taste our delicious produce.
Then you can see how tough you are. Because you might fancy yourself as a fisherman, but very few have the skills necessary to land the mighty prawn. The Prawn Fishing is hugely popular, and if you hook one, you can have it cooked at our fine restaurant.
The restaurant is where all visitors like to end up. The location alone makes it one of the finest in New Zealand. You can dine al fresco on the banks of the river, and treat yourself to a stunning selection of prawn dishes (or non-prawn if you prefer) – with the perfect drink to accompany them, of course!
The restaurant is also available for large functions, as we can accommodate up to 400 guests at once.
