Taonga MataOra offers guests an outstanding combination of fine dining from Te Papa ICON Catering with authentic and dynamic performances from Mäori and Pacific Island communities in the unique setting of Te Papa’s marae. The dining experience combines Western culinary traditions with indigenous ingredients and the best of New Zealand produce, fine wines and beverages. The cultural performances reveal the living face of indigenous Mäori and of Pacific communities. The evening is an expression of customary hospitality – a memorable encounter with contemporary New Zealand culture. Wednesday evenings, October–March. All inclusive $NZ149 per person (inc GST).
