Your evening begins with Pre-Tamaki Maori Village Encounter – our story of Maori migration told within a series of magical indoor sets, including native garden and themed Maori theatre. Bus (waka) trip – the migration story unfolds as you paddle your waka to the Village. Welcome and Pre-European Village – a significant era revisited as our family brings to life traditions of the past. Wharenui (meeting house) and Cultural Performance – a powerful encounter connecting our past with the present through song, dance, myths and storytelling. Hangi and Tribal Marketplace – time for fun and feasting! Food cooked the traditional way beneath the ground on hot rocks.
