The Bus and Coach Association (New Zealand) Inc., in conjunction with Vehicle Testing New Zealand, has developed a star grading system for coaches and buses which will make it easier for customers to compare the standards of service offered by individual bus and coach operators. It will also allow tour operators and travellers to select products in advance with confidence. There is no restriction on vehicle size in any grading category.
Star grading gives inbound operators and travel agencies a guarantee of coach quality. Ask for a Bus & Coach Association star-graded coach to ensure your customers get the standard they expect. But beware – only the operators listed in our star grading brochure or website can guarantee the standards we promote in the star grading system. Others may promise a 5-star coach, but it may not have the amenities expected by inbound visitors. Star grading is endorsed by Tourism New Zealand, the Inbound Tour Operators’ Council, the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand and the Travel Agents Association New Zealand.
