Heliventures and McGuires Lodge are based in Haast, one of the world's
most remote locations, adjoining the renowned South Westland World
Heritage Area and Mt Aspiring National Park. Operating for over 20 years
in this iconic location, Heliventures will take your breath away as you
discover the hidden wonders of New Zealand's National Parks, glaciers,
mountain lakes, ancient rainforests and spectacular alpine and coastal
views. We offer a range of scenic flight options, including Milford Sound,
Mt Aspiring, Mt Cook and the Glaciers
World Heritage Grand Traverse
For the first time in NZ, Inside New Zealand Wilderness Adventures, in
conjunction with Heliventures, can provide visitors with a World Heritage
extravaganza. Start your journey in the Mt Aspiring National Park with a
scenic helicopter flight departing from Haast, view river valleys,
ice-capped mountains and glaciers, then meet Wilkin River Jets in the
heart of the National Park for a spectacular river jet safari back to
Makarora. Exclusively designed for the coach / group market, departures
are available from either Makarora via Wanaka or Haast via Fox Glacier.

McGuires Lodge is situated on SH 6, adjacent to the Department of
Conservation centre at the Haast Junction. Our complex is situated on 3.5
hectares, and has 19 units. 2 of the ground floor units are equipped for
use by people with disabilities. Our in-house restaurant features local
cuisine with wild West Coast flavour. We have a wide selection of New
Zealand wines and West Coast beers along with spirits, ports and
liqueurs.
