The décor is classic, subtle and relaxing, allowing the dramatic views outside to shine. Each room has quality appointments, and all suites are individually air conditioned. For the downstairs suites, views across the water are framed by native plants and grasses. With views across the estuary, a greenhouse and garden producing organic vegetables and herbs, and an orchard at the back door, our resident chef has plenty of inspiration to create seasonal cuisine which is full of flavour.
Pelorous Lodge maintains a classic 40ft bridgedeck vessel, Lady Karita; every morning at 10am, Lodge guests can take a complimentary cruise through the Sound to picnic at a secluded bay. The cruise returns to the Lodge by 3pm, ensuring you will be in time to enjoy the complimentary pre-dinner cocktail hour.
Pelorus Lodge caters for a maximum of eight guests, ensuring the ultimate in privacy and superior service - a very private, very accessible hideaway combining luxury with the therapeutic harmony of natural New Zealand.
