The Marlborough Sounds is still one of the world's best kept secrets, that is, it is still to be discovered as a sailing destination. In consequence, the waterways are not crowded and, as a large area of water, it has many bays and coves to explore. The scenery is in most places absolutely stunning and the rest ain't bad!
The Sounds offers a lot of activities that can be enjoyed on or from your floating accommodation. Sailing and cruising of course, but also fishing, swimming, or just chilling out on one of our private moorings with a cold beer or wine!
The Sounds area has many walks, from 10 minutes in duration to several hours, where you will come across our native birds and plants. The marine life is also rather special with seals, dolphins and many birds of the shore and wetlands.
Charterlink Marlborough is based in Queen Charlotte Sound and this sound has three Resorts offering restaurant, café, bar, moorings and a water taxi to get you to and from your vessel.
If you would like ‘learn to sail’ while on holiday come and join one of our Royal Yachting Association courses and have a floating holiday learning to sail. You will go away with an internationally recognised certificate of competency.
