Edgewater Boutique Homestay
Edgewater provides boutique Bed and Breakfast accommodation for the discerning. Located at Karaka Bay, Seatoun (Wellington), Edgewater is amongst the houses and homes of Director, Producers, Cast and Crew of Peter Jackson’s trilogy movie ‘Lord of the Rings’.
Seatoun is a Historic seaside village where waterfront houses were originally built as convalescent and holiday homes. This award-winning Mediterranean style home features expansive ocean view of Wellington's outer Harbour.
Edgewater offers four airy guest suites with peaked cedar ceilings beneath separate roofs. All suites have private guest entrances which open out to the sea or onto the inner courtyard.
Stella serves fresh fruits, home-made breads, pancakes and egg dishes for breakfast in the dining room, or alfresco on the balcony in the morning sun. Dinner is also offered, speacilalising in premium quality meats, seafood and game. Stella is ex-owner/chef of an award-winning Wellington restaurant, and caters privately for 'Lord of the Rings' stars and dignitaries.
