Lake Tekapo Luxury Lodge

Lake Tekapo Luxury Lodge is situated in the centre of New Zealand's South Island, halfway between Christchurch and Queenstown with views of Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook. Experience spectacular scenic flights through this majestic alpine region and see Mount Cook, Mount Tasman, and Fox and Franz Josef glaciers. Lake Tekapo Luxury Lodge was completed in 1998, constructed out of the finest materials to meet the highest standards of guest comfort. As you approach the main entrance you'll observe the arched antique wooden doors with their heavy metal hinges, reminiscent of a castle. Earth-block exterior cladding and its imposing size reinforce this impression.

You'll enjoy privacy and comfort in your bedroom with wonderful views of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains. A roomy guest lounge has a genuine 'Kiwi' feel, with a luxurious leather suite, a low table set with a marble chess set and an antique sideboard with books to fill quiet moments. With the fire lit you can relax after dinner and watch television or enjoy wonderful views of Lake Tekapo. Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast of fruit juice, fresh fruit, cereals, breads, jams, tea and coffee as well as a full cooked breakfast.

There are four rooms available:

  • Lake Tekapo Room - queen and single beds, paraplegic facilities
  • Mount Cook Room - super king-size bed, deck with chairs and table
  • Good Shepherd Room - super king-size beds, deck with chairs and table, spa bath
  • MacKenzie Room - queen and single beds, garden view, outdoor table and chairs

All rooms have a view of Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains, and are equipped with en suite bathrooms, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries and electric blankets. The lodge also offers Internet access, a morning newspaper, fax facilities, a guest lounge, SKY TV, a laundry, disabled facilities and a balcony.
