Skippers Canyon Jet
The only jet boat operator showcasing the wonders of Skippers Canyon on the Shotover River. Travel the road built by hand over 100 years ago with a photo stop for the breathtaking scenery and ‘Lord of the Rings’ sights, then the jet boating thrills start with 18 km of tight narrow canyons, including the famous 360 degree spins. A major highlight of the boat ride is the miners’ dredges and tailings still in the river, making the region’s history a part of the adventure ride. This is Queenstown’s greatest jetboating adventure.
- Duration: 2.5 hours round trip (35 minutes of jet boating).
- Operating hours: Departs 8:30am, 12:00noon and 3:30pm from central Queenstown.
