Kia ora and welcome,

John Key

As travel professionals, you know how important it is to make sure people get a friendly welcome, a great time, and something very special that they can’t get anywhere else in the world.

New Zealanders are committed to providing their visitors with that kind of experience.

If you are yet to travel to our country, I hope you will have the chance to visit us soon and enjoy some great Kiwi hospitality. And if you have been to our shores before, I hope you will be back before too long.

Because no matter how familiar you are with New Zealand, there is always more to discover about our land and its people.

There is so much to see – from the pure ruggedness of Westland and the mighty volcanoes of the central plateau, to the giant Kauri forests of Northland and the whales, dolphins and seals of the Kaikoura coast.

There is so much to do – relaxing on an untouched beach, trout fishing in a pristine mountain stream, sampling Wellington’s café culture, or visiting a marae and learning about Maori history and traditions.

There is so much to taste – some of the best fresh food in the world served by top-class chefs and an array of sumptuous wines from almost every corner of the country.

And there are so many ways to get a thrill – from bungy jumping and jet boats, to white-water rafting and mountain-biking through some truly majestic scenery.

Whatever you are looking for – for yourself or your clients – you can find it in New Zealand.

Best wishes and happy travels.

Hon. John Key
Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism
